India has to decide soon on seeking the review of Jadhav's Sentencing
NEW DELHI: India is expected to take a decision in the next few days on whether or not to seek a review, on the Jadhav's case as asked by Islamabad, of Indian national kulbhushan Jadhav's sentencing by a Pakistani military court. last Year also this case was rising regarding to release Jadhav's in which many countries Cheif justice have studying the jadhav's case but they didn't taken complete decision on Jadhav. In this May 20 Pakistani ordinance meant to facilitate the review, as claimed by Islamabad, allows Indian time only up to July 20 that they can convey its decision.
Pakistan's refusal to allow India remedial consular access, meaning private and unrestricted, and also a lawyer from outside Pakistan to represent him has left India with little choice. The review offered by the Pakistan govt is purely wants on its own terms.
India has also doubts on Pakistan's motive in introducing an ordinance when Islamabad has said in the past that there were already laws which allowed for a review of Jadhav's death sentence.
Despite the International Court of Justice ruling asking for an effective review and reconsideration Jadhav's case on his death sentence, Pakistan has failed to make up for fact that it failed to provide consular access to Jadhav before it recorded his "confessions". India has repeatedly told Islamabad that it's incumbent on Pakistan to provide to provide consular access "in private" in an environment free from fear of intimidation to fulfil ICJ Judgement.
Pakistan is given 2nd the permission to indian officials meet Jadhav.While they breaking the international rule to not given independent meeting with Jadhav & also they have recorded whole scenario in the camera. Jadhav was looking uncomfortable in that situation, may be he had not treated well by Pakistani officials. Indian High Commission tried to opposed this condition to not attend this meeting despite Pakistani officials were denied.
