NEW DELHI: In a move to contact tracing in response to rising the numbers of cases in the various States in the 'UNLOCK' PHASE of the present time, the central govt has asked to the States to ensure contacts of at least 80% of new Covid-19 positive cases are traced and quarantined within 72 hours of conformation of the positive cases.

The directive to  significantly enhance contact tracing cases as daily testing capacity has gone up. As many as 22,252 fresh cases of Covid-19 were reported on a single day on Monday, taking the total count of cases to more than 7 Lakhs. There are 2,59,557 active cases where as 4,39,947 have recovered.

Our Health experts suggested that speedy contact tracing and quarantine of positive or active cases will be very helpful for breaking the chain of transmission. "Active cases and their contacts are important because they are the possible carriers. So, tracing them will not only help us in effective clinical management and reduction in mortality but also break the chain of transmission,"an official Said.

The ministry said that the 'test' track and treatment 'strategy adopted by the central and state government had showed a step upturn in the recoveries per million as compared to active cases per million population. India has 315.8 recovered cases per million while active cases per million in the country is at 186.3.

Along with testing, contact tracing and house to house surveys have been intensified, was not elaborated and the passage itself indicated that the trajectory of the disease was uncertain. Then the Govt had said the phase has been used in a limited context.Guidelines Suggest "Screening of high-risk population once community transmission is established". Officials say cases of enhanced local transmission are targeted by the containment Zones to ensures they don't lead to exponential rise in cases.

So through this strategy the Coronavirus will be prevented.

Kang Don't lose focus from the drugs in the race for vaccine

NEW DELHI: In a race of invention & early making the vaccine against Covid-19, India must not lose focus on the contact-tracing which are critical to tackle the pandemic right now, says Gangandeep Kang, noted Scientist and the first Indian women to be induced as a fellow of Royal Society on London.

The Govt don't worried and ignoring drugs, diagnostics and contact-tracing in favour of vaccine which is meant for prevention against the Coronavirus. Because there should the trade-off between the two countries due to the Coronavirus. Right now, there are peoples who already infected, who are sick and need tests and proper treatment. Because it is important to reduce the deaths rates ensure containment," Kang said, stressing on the basic needs for a comprehensive strategy focussed on clinical research, testing, tracking and treatment.

Mr. Kang who  resigned on Monday from Translational Health Science and Technology Institute under the Ministry of Science and Technology-said she wants to follow her "fascination for vaccines which may show same promise to tackle Covid-19 and other flu outbreaks in the upcoming time and in future.
